The Upright Beer Station was originally a gas and service station dating back to the fifties. It later sat empty for years and fell into a state of dilapidation before being fixed up and turned into a satellite taproom for Upright Brewing in 2023. The brewery ceased production in 2025 after a seventeen year run but the location lives on as a destination for both neighbors and craft beer enthusiasts.

Run by two beer industry vets in Todd Burdette and Alex Ganum, the Upright Beer Station prides itself on a well curated taplist, thoughtful presentation of the beers, and a friendly, relaxed vibe.

The interior is intimate and can serve as a quiet spot to enjoy great beer or a hub for locals to chat. Outside we have ample seating for larger groups or folks that want to enjoy whatever weather Portland is serving up.

The location is near the PDX airport and shared with Guilder Coffee, Pine State Biscuits, Schmunch Burger, Niños Birrieria and R-Haan.

Note for parents: Minors are allowed inside until 7 pm and outside until 10 pm. Please be mindful of other guests and keep close tabs on young children.
